About El Locavore

Our Menus & Staffing

We offer a wide range of menus to suit any occasion, from formal sit-down dinners to casual buffets. Each menu is customized to meet your specific needs and preferences, and we gladly accommodate dietary restrictions and food sensitivities. Our full-service catering includes an impeccable staff, unique cocktails, and stunning desserts, ensuring every detail of your event is exceptional.

Our Experience

I take great pleasure in preparing nourishing, delicious, and thoughtful food. My passion for cooking with seasonal, local ingredients has been a lifelong obsession. With nearly two decades of experience, I have created menus and curated events, including a vegan dinner for 300 and a unique East Austin wedding featured in Vogue.


My son Max, a Culinary Institute of America graduate, has worked for MML Hospitality Group in the kitchens of Lambert's and Elizabeth Street Café. He has mentored with Chef Lou Lambert in Austin, Marfa, and Fort Worth. Additionally, he served as the Culinary Director for Millscale in Lockhart and Twisted X in Dripping Springs.

Our Mission

Max and I are dedicated to curating flawless events that leave guests fondly reminiscing about the food, service, and presentation. Our goal is to create meals that are a true feast for the senses.

Our Story

I founded El Locavore in 2007 and have been cooking for gatherings of all sizes, from intimate dinner parties to large corporate events. Since the early days at Boggy Creek, Austin's original urban farm, I have been sourcing local, seasonal produce and meats, taking full advantage of our lengthy growing season.


Max has been by my side in the kitchen from a young age, showing a serious interest in the culinary world. This passion led him to formal training at the Culinary Institute of America in San Antonio. During and after his studies, Max worked with some illustrious names in the hospitality industry, bringing his experience full circle to enhance our family business
